What to include so we can actually help

Most messages we cannot resolve are missing one detail. A little context up front usually turns a back-and-forth into a single reply.

A download is not working

Send the full post URL you were using, which platform it was on, and the device and browser you tried it in. If you saw an error message, quoting it exactly is more useful than describing it.

Before writing, it is worth opening that link in a private or incognito window. If the post does not load there while you are signed out, it is not publicly reachable, and no tool can fetch it — the download failure guide walks through the other causes, most of which are fixable in under a minute.

Something on a page is wrong or out of date

These reports are genuinely useful. Platforms change how they serve media without notice, and a page describing the old behavior is worse than no page. Tell us which page and what is inaccurate, and we will correct it and update the last-reviewed date.

Feedback or a feature request

Tell us what you were trying to accomplish rather than the feature you have in mind — the underlying task is usually the more useful information. We read everything, though we cannot promise to build any particular thing.

Copyright and removal requests

Down4Media does not host, store, or serve a library of media. The tools read what a platform makes publicly available for a link someone provides, and files transfer from that platform's own systems. There is no copy of a post held here to remove.

Because of that, a takedown aimed at the media itself is almost always faster and more effective when sent to the platform actually serving the file — that is where the content lives and where removal is enforced. Pinterest, TikTok, and X each publish their own copyright complaint process.

If you still believe something connected to this site infringes your copyright, email contact@down4media.online with a notice containing: your signature on behalf of the owner or claimant; identification of the work you say is infringed; identification and location of the material you want removed; your name, address, telephone number, and email; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act for the owner.

What we cannot help with

To save you the wait for a reply: we cannot retrieve private, protected, deleted, or age-restricted posts, and we cannot recover a post that has been taken down. We also cannot increase the quality of a file beyond what the platform stored — nothing here upscales, and upscaling would not recover the missing detail anyway. Finally, we have no access to anyone's platform account, so we cannot help with logins, bans, or appeals on Pinterest, TikTok, or X.
