These are the failures we see most often. The fix is usually one of these.
Download returns 'post not found' or 404
Likely cause: The video has been deleted by the creator, the account is private, or the post is restricted to a region you are not in.
Fix: Open the original TikTok link in a private/incognito browser tab. If you cannot see the video there either, the downloader cannot fetch it. Wait a few hours and retry if it is a temporary takedown.
File downloads but has no audio
Likely cause: The original post has muted audio in your region — TikTok strips the soundtrack for certain licensed music in countries where the rights are not cleared.
Fix: Audio can only be recovered if it was cleared in your country at upload time. Try a different post from the same creator in the same region to confirm; the muted file is still the correct one.
Watermark-free MP4 is the same as the watermarked one
Likely cause: TikTok's servers did not serve a watermark-free variant for this specific post — usually because the creator disabled the no-watermark setting for that upload.
