What we check before publishing or changing a tool
Public-post test
We test a tool with a real, publicly accessible post. We do not claim that private, deleted, login-only, age-gated, or restricted posts will work.
Result check
We check the returned media type and available resolutions. We do not call an upscaled or re-encoded file original quality.
Claim check
Important claims must be testable: supported links, sign-in requirements, output formats, and known limits. Marketing wording does not replace evidence.
Guide review
Guides are revised when platform behavior changes or readers report a reproducible problem. Visible review dates help readers judge freshness.
Claims we will not make
- We do not promise access to private, protected, deleted, or login-only posts.
- We do not claim to create a higher resolution than the source platform stores.
- We do not describe a download as permission to republish, sell, or claim someone else’s work.
- We do not ask for platform passwords or claim affiliation with the platforms named here.
Corrections and reports
If a page is inaccurate, unclear, or out of date, send the URL and a concise description through our contact page. Reproducible reports take priority. Copyright and takedown questions follow the process in our copyright guidance.
These standards apply to our tool pages, help content, and platform-specific claims. They complement our Terms and Privacy Policy; they do not replace it.
