How we testKeep the largest rendition
Pinterest returns a handful of resized copies for every pin. The list here is honest about them; take the widest. That is the copy closest to the creator's upload and the one that still looks right on a large screen.
Moodboards, references and swatches
Pinterest is a reference shelf for many people. Downloading the images lets you keep swatches, palettes and reference sets offline without losing detail to compression. Nothing is re-compressed on the way out.
Where the pictures land
Windows: Downloads folder. Mac: Downloads in Finder. Android: Files app, usually also Gallery. iPhone: Files › Downloads, then Share › Save Image for the Photos app.
Organising a reference set
If you are collecting a set, rename files as you save them instead of leaving CDN hashes. Group by project in a folder and delete anything you never reopened after a week. Board titles make good folder names, and the pin caption often makes the best filename. Name folders after the project rather than the day, so related files stay together.
