Conversion re-encodes a video, and re-encoding loses quality. Because the source is already MP4, this tool skips the step entirely and relays the stored file byte for byte. You get the best copy that exists, with the sound intact.

MP4 with H.264 is the most widely supported video format in the world. It opens in every phone gallery, every desktop player and every editor without a plugin. Nothing needs installing to watch it.
If your phone will not open it
Some Android file managers hide MP4 from the share sheet until the media scanner catches up. Reboot or open the file straight from Downloads. On iPhone the file plays in Files and copies to Photos through Share › Save Video.
Container, codec and file extension
MP4 is the container; the video inside is H.264, which every phone and desktop player decodes in hardware. That is why no converter is needed and why renaming the file cannot improve it. An .mp4 extension is the honest one: it matches the bytes and plays without a plugin. It is also why a browser, a phone and an editor all accept the file with no add-on.
