X Video Download
The rebrand changed the domain, not the media. Paste an x.com status link, or an older twitter.com one, and the video downloads as MP4 with its audio at the best size available.
A cleaner way to save videos from public tweets
Paste an x.com or twitter.com status link and download media without installing anything.
Quick Tweet Lookup
Public tweet links are checked fast so your available media options show up quickly.
No Account Needed
Use the downloader from your browser without signing in to X or sharing personal details.
x.com + twitter.com
Both current X links and older twitter.com status URLs are supported.
MP4 Video
Download the best available video file from supported public posts.
Audio Option
When audio is available separately, save the sound from a post as an MP3 file.
Any Device
Works on desktop and mobile browsers with a layout tuned for quick use.
Built for personal reference, research, and education
Pinterest Downloader doesn't host media — it helps you save public files for personal, legitimate use like offline reference, study, or design research.
For more detail, read our terms of use and privacy policy.
Public and permitted links only
Pinterest Downloader is designed for content that is already publicly accessible and that you own, have permission to save, or need for private reference.
Creator rights still apply
A successful download does not grant reuse rights. Do not republish, sell, edit, or redistribute another creator's work without permission.
Guides add context
Our guides explain device behavior, file formats, failed downloads, and copyright basics so users can make better decisions before saving media.
What this tool can and cannot do
The technical detail behind the steps above, written from direct testing rather than copied from a template.
How we testThe rebrand does not matter here
x.com and twitter.com serve the same posts. Both are accepted, so an old link from a bookmark or a chat still resolves. Only the individual status URL is needed; profiles and search pages are not single files.
Best size, no upsell
X transcodes into a short rendition list and the tool shows all of it. Take the largest. Most posts top out at 720p, so a promise of 4K from any X downloader is upscaling.
Works anywhere
Browser-only, so Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux all behave the same. The file lands in your download folder; iPhone moves it to Photos through Share › Save Video.
Renditions and what the numbers mean
The sizes offered are the transcodes X generated at upload, from a small mobile copy to the largest desktop one. Take the biggest unless a service caps file size. Nothing is sharpened or upscaled on the way out, so the largest here is simply the least degraded copy that exists.
GIFs, images and audio posts on X
An animated GIF is really a silent MP4 and downloads as one; stills come back as images, not video. A post with only a music embed holds no local file and will not resolve. Match the request to the post type before pasting, and the retries drop away.
Other ways to reach this tool
The same engine runs every page below; each one targets a different way of asking for a x video download. Start from the Twitter / X downloader home if you want every media type in one place.
